Step onto the Storywalking Path!

Heyya! 👋 If you're a regular storywalker, go ahead and hop skip down the page to register for our upcoming adventure. But if you're new, let's stop and chat for a minute...

If you're totally "who the heck is Jena" new to my work, I'm honored you're here! Huzzah. Welcome! Let's see if I can use regular ordinary words to explain this quite extraordinary wild imaginational creative practice that I've been leading for the past decade+.

As a general introduction, Storywalking is a curiously playful and powerful art and inquiry process I developed that uses myths, fables and fairytales as a roadmap for epic inner journeys. A thick papered journal becomes the dirt under our feet and we storywalk by making art that builds and layers and self references and catalyzes self reflection.

My specialty is prompts that are powerful, surprising, and quick, designed to hurdle-jump over the inner critic and into new information. Instead of hours and hours of instructions, the daily videos are under 5 minutes: as short as a good song, so you get inspired and right to your journal. You might wonder how that could be enough - but truth knows how to pop in whenever we give it a chance! Supplies are limited and prompts are diverse with an emphasis on collage, doodling, and writing. And yes: totally accessible for all skill levels.

Storywalks are (usually) delivered over 10-13 weeks. You will deepen into the inquiries and move through the story in a simple but potent step by step fashion.  Best part? The story will bring up information totally unique to you. Directions for navigating hand-culled by your own intuition.

And may I say, when we walk together in a group and peek at each other's pages, wow, we can really appreciate how very different, how incredibly customized the messages are for each of us...

Jena has a way of asking the hard questions in a loving, non judgmental way. It makes one pause and truly consider the answers. It's deep work. This storywalk made me more aware than ever of living my truths and doing what's important to me.

Our Summer Community Storywalk:
TRIPTYCH
three 3 week shorts
starting June 15, July 13, August 10

Each of these short stories will have daily delivery and a community space. You can partake in all of them or pick and choose, knowing you can come back for the others whenever you need a personal retreat with your own intuition. These three shorts are hand picked to give voice to the parts we have not been listening to, and have important timely information for us. Get ready for playful and potent and surprising!

I've been storywalking for years and absolutely LOVE it. Storywalking keeps me in inquiry, reminds me to create everyday, and leaves me with insights I never would have considered.

Registering for this walk via ANY of the options below gives you access as the prompts unfold and forever afterward.  The course will be created as we go with video prompts delivered to your email. Instructions are peppy & personal and include experimenting with collage, coloring, doodling, writing.  Storywalking is doable in under a half hour a day or a couple hours a week and is perfect for all skill levels. Keep up with each set of playful prompts or go along at your own pace.

This style of art journaling can open the voice of the intuition in an effortless manner - bringing spontaneous epiphanies and surprising momentum. Sometimes it points to subtle shifts of perception. Sometimes it points our future into a whole new direction. Your task is simply to show up with pen, scissors, glue. The story will take care of the rest.

"Thank you so much for maintaining such a soft spot to land. I don’t know any community as supportive but also weird and wonderful!" ♡
